Coming up soon in the Berry Performing Arts Center, the Middle School is once again ready to amaze their audience with their fall musical. This year’s musical is Tuck Everlasting, based on the children’s novel written by Natalie Babbitt.

Tuck Everlasting is the story of Winnie Foster, a 10-year-old girl who yearns to explore her family’s small forest outside the fence of her home. One day, she finds a fresh-water spring and discovers from a boy named Jesse Tuck that he and his family turned immortal after drinking from it. Tuck Everlasting dives headfirst through the moral dilemmas that Winnie and the Tucks face including whether or not it is right for people to live forever if they had the choice.

The musical will be directed by Becky Randazzo and produced by Liz Howard, who have both created several wonderful W+H productions in the past.

“My experience as a lead in the Middle School musical has been really fun. I enjoy our rehearsals and Tuck Everlasting is a very compelling story. I look forward to performing in the actual show,” said Rishi Nihalani ‘29, who will be playing the lead role of Miles Tuck.

Other leading players of the cast include Emily O’Neill ‘27 as the titular character of Winnie Foster, Anousheh Nazir ‘27 as Jesse Tuck, Saadia St. Victor ‘27 as Mae Tuck, and Devin Virdi ‘28 as Angus Tuck.

“Look forward to some super cool looking dance numbers, funny scenes, and a great story that is like nothing they have seen in Middle School so far,” Emily said.

With productive rehearsals and hard work made by the cast, production, and tech crews, Tuck Everlasting will be a wonderful treat for the W+H community. The show will be performed in the Berry Performing Arts Center on Friday, November 18 at 3:30 p.m. for students only and on Saturday, November 19 at 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. for a full audience.
